It all began back in 2009
In November 2009 after I gave birth to my first child Enzo I was very depress…
I needed something to keep me going. Something that will help be a better version of me.
After going to many emotions during those first months of been a mom. I decided to get my baby in a jogging stroller and started training every day after work with him.
My mind and my body needed those running days. My life changed completely after becoming a mom and my marriage life too. My Husband became very distance from me. It was hard for him to accept the new responsibility of having our first kid.
That was the reason why I needed something that will keep my emotions balance. Running gave me the opportunity to see life different and gave me the strength to keep going. After 4 months of training with my baby five Times a week, I decided to start registering to run 5k’s in the area. I was able to show myself how strong and capable I was to run a race and make it to the podium.
After many 5k’s I decided to register to Run my First Miami Marathon 26.2 Miles 42KM. I remember I said to myself “I’ m going to do this no matter what I will make it to the finish line”
It took months of hard work and training . Was it easy??? No it was not easy to come home after 10hrs of work and put my baby in the jogging stroller and go for a run!, but I knew my mind and body were capable of doing it. Trained to always push forward no matter what…. Even in the most difficult times.
In January 2011 I ran My first Marathon, with no running watch no energy bars. I was just a Miami Girl proud to be running the streets of her city. I ran 26.2 Miles (42km) in 3hrs 33min. During the race I had the opportunity to appreciate My City even more, I felt even more in love with Miami city after the race.
After running my first marathon, I realized how I’m capable of achieving anything that I set my mind to.
If you do not believe that you can achieve anything that you set your mind to it is because you have some false internal beliefs about yourself. Your beliefs are what dictate how you live your life. If you don’t believe that you can become successful then you will not take any action, and you will just continue doing the same mediocre things day after day, and you will never chase after your dreams. Believe in YOURSELF…..
I’ve been a long distance runner for over 11 years now. I learned to listen to my body and mind thanks to running.
